Blue Monday, the third Monday in January, when people might be at their lowest ebb has passed. The weather at this time of year, post-Christmas debt, generally lower motivation levels and feeling pressure to make lifestyle changes may all contribute to lower moods. Whether or not you believe there’s a specific Monday in every year when people are at their lowest, this time of year tends to be harder.
There has also been a two-year pandemic and plenty of media coverage predicting mental health repercussions from this. As an employee owned organisation, we know our employees health and wellbeing is paramount to our success. We’ve even been certified as a Great Place to Work.
Taking Care of Seetec’s Wellbeing
We’d like to take a moment to thank our Wellness Team, who provide support and guidance to colleagues. In case you’ve missed any of their initiatives, here’s a look at some of the things on offer that can help you maintain or improve your mental health.
From online yoga and mindfulness sessions, digital cafes for socialising, an online wellness hub, volunteering initiatives and a wealth of resources on mental health, we also run an Employee Assistance Program that offers free counselling to anyone who needs advice and support.
Our Wellness Team does its best to make people aware of the support on offer every day. It is important to signpost individuals to wellness initiatives.
