Seetec Awarded New National Employment Services Contracts

News 15 November 2022

We are pleased to confirm that Seetec has been awarded a new contract after a recent tender process for the Department of Social Protection’s Intreo Partner National Employment Service. As a contracted public services provider, we’re committed to providing opportunities and support to people from all walks of life and empowering them to shape their futures.

The contract runs for five years and is for the provision of employment assistance and advice services to clients referred by the Department. We are committed to supporting our clients on their path to sustained employment as an Intreo Partner in counties Dublin, Louth, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, Westmeath, Longford, Roscommon, Leitrim, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal.

We deliver the contract with our valued partners People 1st in Donegal, CMD Group in Sligo and Network Personnel in Cavan and Monaghan.

Seetec also delivers the Intreo Partner Local Area Employment Service in Longford and Westmeath and employment services for members of our new communities commissioned by the Department of Equality (DCEDIY) supported by the European Social Fund.

Karl Milne, Executive Director for Seetec in Ireland, commented: “We are delighted to be awarded this new contract by the Department of Social Protection. It’s a testament to the brilliant work done by our employee owners and partners on contracted public employment services in their communities since 2015.”

“In that time, we have supported almost 45,000 people into work. If anyone doubted the value of these services, the work done throughout the pandemic underlines their positive impact on the communities we serve. Despite public health restrictions and disruption to businesses we supported over 10,000 people who were long-term unemployed into work. We will continue to develop our services to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients, our employer partners and our commissioners.”

Joanna McWeeney, Employee Council Member at Seetec, said: “Our employee owners are thrilled with the news that we can continue to deliver these services in our communities. As employee owners we’re passionate about the valuable work we do with clients and local employers, while at the same time we are shaping the values and direction of our company.”
